To maintain reliable and efficient braking, it is essential to regularly replace your brake pads. This operation is relatively simple and can be done yourself.
Tip: It is recommended to change brake pads when the lining reaches a thickness of 0.5 mm or when you start to hear the spring touching the rotor. Take the opportunity to clean the caliper and pistons with an appropriate cleaner/degreaser.
Tools needed: Allen keys 3, 5 or 6 mm | Piston press | Needle-nose pliers | Torque wrench and sockets | New brake pads | Brake system specific degreaser | Cloth.
